Should read ‘Since 3rd order bits can’t be used in the second slot when making SEAs, I often need to ‘step down’ a bit. To do this, I place a +35 bit in the RE tool, add a modifier bit, and choose to create a skill enhancing attachment from the menu. Then I add the new SEA to one of my socketed shirts. I do not add the RE enhancement module. I place the newly statted shirt into the RE tool again and reverse engineer that. In most cases this will result in a 2nd order bit. If not, I just repeat the process till I get a 2nd order. The Cybernetic Deconstruction Arm comes from completing the Quality Resource Collection by simply surveying for a resource that you desire, once completed either press sample on your survey tool or type /sample to begin sampling for the desired resource. The collection begins when you are eventually given a pop-up window with three selections. One selection (third from the top - requires 2000 Action) asks if you would like to obtain a high purity product of the resource you are gathering. First check if you have the Action points required and then choose this selection. Reverse Engineering on <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Resurgence </del>works a bit differently than most of you may be accustomed to. One of the first features we have in place is that ALL Jedi Robes that can be looted, can be used in RE. Playing on the Chilastra Server, I volunteered to do RE and suit-making for MANDO after the Junk Loot/RE System was implemented. In most instances, it took 3, 4, or even 5+ steps to get a single +35 Power Bit. I did this almost exclusively for just shy of six months in order to outfit that entire guild, and nearly quit the entire game because of it. In my opinion, the base system that Sony Online Entertainment brought us was ridiculously over-complicated and stupid. So, we at SWG: <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Resurgence </del>have decided to go in a slightly different direction. Rather than a step-up system, let's go in the opposite direction.

+

I'm not sure if anyone remembers RE from the live game, but we remember how it was in great detail.
New page

<center></center>

Introduction
Reverse Engineering (RE) of stat clothing and armor is an integral part of the NGE version of Star Wars Galaxies, which is required to make Skill Enhancing Attachments (SEA's), as well as Power-ups (PUPS), which is an exceptionally effective mechanic in the late, end-game content. Reverse Engineering on Resurgence works a bit differently than most of you may be accustomed to. One of the first features we have in place is that ALL Jedi Robes that can be looted, can be used in RE. The second feature is that we have a slightly elevated base multiplier that assists in performing RE. The next was that we also made slight adjustments in the Trader Expertise that should make it slightly easier to perform RE.

I'm not sure if anyone remembers RE from the live game, but we remember how it was in great detail. So, we at SWG: Resurgence have decided to go in a slightly different direction. Rather than a step-up system, let's go in the opposite direction.

As we all know the stats of Luck and RE Chance play a large role in the performance of converting a piece of stat loot to a Power Bit so for a detailed breakdown of stats and the process itself here on Resurgence I will let Shalon describe her process.

Tools
* Reverse Engineering Tool (10.00 is best)
* RE Enhancement Module (17-18's are best)
* RE Cybernetic Arm (From High-Quality Resource Collection)
* Large Supply of Junk Loot
* Stat Loot Clothing/Armor
* Luck Items (Food, Banners, Jewelry, Etc)

The Process
# Simply placing an item of loot clothing into the Reverse Engineering Tool and selecting reverse engineer from the menu will give me a power bit. Jedi Robes will always give a +35 3rd order bit, if I have taken the expertise box and am using RE modifiers in my equipment (Chest, Shirt and Weapon). Second order bits can only be used in the second slot. Since third order bits can be used in both the first and third order slots, I really don’t need to make any first order.
# With the bonuses used on Resurgence, it’s much easier to hit 3rd order bits. It is always easier to step down a bit than step up a bit.
# When REing normal clothing items, in some cases I will need to ‘step up’ a bit to reach +35. To do this I place a power bit that is less than 35 in the tool, add a modifier bit and an RE enhancement module then create an attachment. I place this SEA in a shirt and RE it, and repeat the process until the bit hits +35. With the current RE bonuses bits usually move up one or two slots per step.

Getting Started
1. Crafting the Reverse Engineer Tool made by any Trader using a capped General Tool.

Suggested: Make at least two.

<u>RE TOOL</u>:
* 25 units of Metal
* 8 units of Mineral
* 5 units of Copper

2. Crafting RE Enhance Modules made by any Trader using a capped General Tool; you will want to run a factory crate in an equipment factory.

<u>RE Enhancement Module</u>:
* 6 Units of Duralloy Steel
* 4 units of Ferrous Metal
* 2 units of Fiberplast
* 10 units of Copper
Quality - Overall Quality 100%.

3. Craft shirts that will be used for RE. Shirts used for are made by a Domestic Trader expertise specked into Tailor, using a Clothing and Armor crafting tool. The shirts should be made with an open socket. You will want to run a factory crate in a Wearables Factory.

Suggested:

Simple Shirt:
* 16 units of Fiberplast
* 4 units of Metal

4. While your factories are running, it's time to start collecting junk loot and organizing them in your resistance for easy accessibility. Specific junk loot locations can be found at https://www.swgjunkyard.com/ Suggested:

Separated 3 boxes as A – G, H -M, & N – Z then reorganize as necessary.

5. The next thing on the grind to-do list is collecting statted clothing loot. Keep anything statted 20+

Suggested: Loot from the Nightsister Stronghold POI, combat level 80-85 Elite, using the instant travel via Aurillian Travel Guide, the Nightsister vs Singing Mountain Clan POI combat level 80-85 Elite (2167 m away from the Stronghold, and/or loot from the Shadowlands, fifth and last level on the Rryatt Trail. **Leave with an empty inventory and pick up a storage droid off the bazaar**

Getting Your Character Ready
The next step would be to get your character ready with buffs, heroic jewelry, and a Cybernetic Deconstruction Arm.

1. This must be done 5 times in order to complete each resource field.

2. The Heroism Set of Heroic Jewelry, gained by running entire runs of heroic instances. Each jewelry piece takes a certain number of tokens granted upon completion of the heroic. This will add +150 Luck.

3. In total the tokens you will need to get is 8 Axkva Min tokens, 8 Mos Espa tokens (Tusken King), 8 Droid Factory tokens (IG-88), 4 Black Sun tokens (ISD), and 2 Exar Kun tokens.

4. Fizz Pudding for Luck, crafted by a Domestic Trader specked into Chef. This adds +210 Luck (Capped).

<u>Deneelian Fizz Pudding</u>:
* 4 Identical Carbosyrup from a factory crate
* 10 units of Milk
* 10 units of Bone
* 20 units of Leathery Hide
* 1 Heavy Food Additive
Quality - Overall Quality 33%; Potential Energy 66% Experiment Nutrition Value

5. <u>Buffs</u>:
* +150 Luck - Entertainer buff (Inspired by an Entertainer)
* +100 Luck - Dermal Laminant Styptic (Advanced): 30 minutes consumable (Faintly Glowing Impulse Scanner, Dimly Glowing Liquid, Dimly Glowing Shield Repair Kit in a Chu-Gon Dar Cube) **Optional on Resurgence**
* +200 Luck - Shard of Retalliation (Received by completing Fate of the Galaxy on Mustafar) **Optional on Resurgence**
* +100 Luck - Meatlump Love (To obtain this buff give a Meatlump Lump to the Meatlump Drooler located in the Meatlump Hideout on the second floor at -571 -4268. Make sure to give it to the Drooler on the left and not the one on the right.) **Optional on Resurgence**
* +100 Luck - Willpower Boost Stim (Advanced) (Faintly Glowing Document, Dimly Glowing Canister, Dimly Glowing Liquid in Chu-Gon Dar Cube) **Optional on Resurgence**

Ready to RE
Suggested: Use a Tailor to RE

Create Modifiers
Creating Modifiers is very easy, simply put two pieces of junk loot into your RE Tool, radial over the tool, and select Reverse Engineer. This will give you a modifier bit. The modifier is the stat you will attach to your power bits. There is two different types of modifiers, base stats and exotics; base stats are agility, constitution, stamina, etc. and exotics are Critical hit, Glancing Blow, Evasion, etc.

Suggestion: Use a base stat such as Agility when reverse engineering as the junk loot is easy to come by.

Create Power Bits
# Add two statted loot clothes into a RE tool with RE Enhance Module. The module will disappear, once it does radial menu the RE tool and select Reverse Engineer. You will receive a modifier bit with a number and the order that it is. Example +23 – 1st Order.
# Next put a modifier bit and a power bit in a tool, radial the tool, and create a Skill Enhancing Attachment (SEA). This attaches to one of your RE shirts, creating statted clothing.
# Take your new statted clothing and looted statted clothing in the tool (needs to be a higher power to bump the power of the new power bit) with a RE Enhance Module and reverse engineer. This will give you a new power bit.
# Repeat this process till the power bit is 35
**Note: If you make an undesired 35 – 3rd Order, make it a SEA with it, put it in the tool with an Enhance Module and reverse engineer it will give you a 2nd order.

Creating Power Ups (PUPS)
PUPs act a second bonus to your stats for whatever modifier you use to make it. Make sure you are buffed, put a modifier with a +35 – 3rd Order power bit in the RE Tool, radial menu, and select Create Powerup. The PUP will come out with a number uses and the strength of the PUP, the higher it comes out the better the PUP is. **Note: There is a cap for every stat you may need to look up.

Making A Suit
Making an entire suit takes a Tailor, Armorsmith, and a Droid Engineer that have points in their expertise for Reverse Engineering. A tailor will create a clothing PUP and clothing attachments, Armorsmith creates armor PUPs and armor attachments, and Droid Engineer makes weapon PUPs and weapon attachment. **Suggested: Have the Domestic crafter make the 35s and modifier bits, then use the other traders to put it together; this way they don’t need buffed and its easier on your resources.
As I said, you can make two different types of stats, base stats and exotics. Each suit can only hold 9 exotic; 3 in the chest plate, 3 in the weapon, and 3 in the shirt. The other pieces will only take base stats.
