Macro's do not stay on or share with other characters. I first noticed that changes I made to a speech macro kept reverting back to the previous sentence when I'd relaunch the toon. Then after finally figuring out the error I had in my harvesting macro, after fixing it the fix would disappear if I took the toon to another planet or reloaded it.

Thinking my files might be corrupted, I deleted the macros file in my game files on the computer. While that did manage to wipe out the bad macro's, the new ones I create still will not save either in game or in that file folder. I can create a macro, use it successfully, but if I go to use it later, it is simply gone.

Am I the only one having this issue or is it a known issue?

If you create a macro on one character and you have other characters on the same account online, at the same time, the macros will not stay.

OK, I just tried creating a macro on a toon with only that toon online. I tested the macro and it worked. Logged out and back in and it was gone. Redid it, and it worked again but as soon as I logged in a second toon it disappeared again.
I did find an old sample of the harvesting macro I use the most and dropped it into the file folder on my computer and that is working fine for the traders. I might try loading these other macro's into the same folder manually. They're not as important; more just for fun... of course that's the point of the whole game LOL

OK. You can close the ticket as far as I'm concerned. I solved the issue well enough for myself. Typing the macro directly into the macro folder under the profile allows it to be saved across toons and does not disappear either when logging in and out or when a second toon is online. Got two traders using a harvest macro atm and did a 2nd macro for my mando. The only fly in my ointment is any macro i do will have the same picture since I do not know the picture codes, I'm just using the one from the old sample I had LOL
